Description
This is a UK 12" on the Strong Like Sampson label catalogue number SLSD 016, released at the end of 1980 the song peaked on The Echoes chart at number 21 on 11/2/81. This is the original not any later re-press. Both sides produced by Linval Thompson and arranged by Mickie Scott. The same rhythm is used on both sides. The A side features the vocal followed by the dub. The B side features Papa Tullo with the DJ version followed by a different dub mix of the rhythm. The same rhythm has also been versioned by Wayne Wade with " Little Suzie " the dub version by Scientist is on the LP Dub Landing as " Beaming " the vocal on that is Freddie McKay " Hey Stranger "....So a great and well versioned rhythm. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ there is a surface mark of a couple of inches at the start of the A side ( does not affect play).....But other than that the vinyl has no marks or scuffs, both labels are clean and mark free. Both sides play with no pops or crackles or surface noise.
