Description

Up for auction is a RARE RARE copy of the "Tribute to Uncle Ray" LP by Little Stevie Wonder on Tamla records, TM 232, mono recording, 1963.

History: At 11 years old, Little Stevie Wonder records this LP as a tribute to his ultimate inspiration, the late Ray Charles. Stevie is playing all songs that Ray Charles wrote.

Furthermore, this is the absolute first press of the record. Tamla issued this before Motown on two different label colors - yellow and white. This is the white label version with blue and black print. A yellow label recently sold on ebay for $150. This version is more rare. This record was also never issued in stereo.

After close inspection, I will grade the vinyl at NM- because I see some very light scuffs. However, this record is a very clean copy. It would go great in a collection. The value is sure to appreciate since it is concerning Ray Charles who recently passed away.

The sleeve is VG+ -- I can notice some slight ringwear and the beginnings of a 2 inch split on the bottom. Otherwise, it's very clear and clean. No writing, no holes, no marks, just some 40 year shelf wear.

These records are hard to come by, especially in this condition. Don't pass up your chance to own a copy of this amazing LP.

Shipping will be $2.00 media or $4.00 priority for America, $6.00 for Canada and $8.00 for Europe.  Money orders only, thanks and good luck!
