Description

London CS 6009, Stravinsky Petrushka, Ernest Ansermet, L’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, 1E/2E (original wide-band “pancake” label), FFSS blue back, pressing. This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old, FFSS pressing.  This copy looks and plays NM. It spent many years on HP's TAS Super Disk List, and the sound is huge and exciting with a very big dynamic range and powerful bass.  It is set a very wide and deep stage with amazing pinpoint imaging.  The vinyl surfaces are clean, glossy, and very quiet with perhaps 1 or 2 noticeable tics on each side. There are no marks on the vinyl that I can detect. The labels are clean with one spindle trail on each side (see photos).  Vinyl grading is NM.  The jacket is clean with no seam splits, or other defects.  There is one mark on the lower right back that appears to be the inspector’s mark (see photo).  Jacket grading is NM.  The inner sleeve looks new and also grades NM.  In summary, this is an almost perfect copy of this wonderful golden age recording.
