London CS 6028, Falla, Concerto for Harpsichord, Ataulfo Argenta / Veyron-Lacroix (Harpsichord), National Orchestra of Spain, 1E/1E, blue back, FFSS pressing. (NO INSERT) - This is NOT a reissue – it is the original 50+ year old 1E/1E pressing. It is rated 20 out of 20 by Moon and Gray who say: “Two genuinely interesting 20th century works … the recording is simply spectacular and immediate in its impact”. This vinyl in this copy looks and plays virtually new. I cannot find anything wrong with it. The vinyl is clean, glossy, and exceptionally quiet with NO pops, clicks, or skips – there are a few barely audible tics, but NO marks whatsoever on either side. The vinyl looks and plays NM. The labels also look new (see photos). The jacket is clean, with no seam splits, but there is slight fading on the back due to age (see photo), so I will grade it EX. The inner sleeve is also EX. In summary, this is a nearly mint copy of this wonderful golden age recording of Spanish music. Feel free to return for a full refund if not completely satisfied.
