Description
Longineu Parsons (Longineu Music Publishing 1980). Rare original copy of this top shelf private press jazz gem. Includes the monster afro-funk track Funkin Around. Pressed in small quantities by Parson's own Longineu Music Publishing Inc. out of Bloomfield, Connecticut. An excellent album that was reissued by the folks over at Ubiquity. I've read that this was released in 1980, although the liner notes cite 1981 for one of the songs...maybe a misprint, or perhaps this was actually released a little later than '80.
Songs: Take The High Road, Spaced, It Will Be Better, Quiet Nights, Funkin Around, Beverly's Song, McCraven's Walk.
Label Number: LR-921.
Vinyl: The light bulb reveals light sleeve scuffing, a few light hairline marks, and one heavier mark on 'Spaced.' Plays strong with some brief, scattered areas of light noise and a few light tics (most notable on Spaced and Beverly's Song). Don't fret, the noise is slight and at the edge of the sound. It's audible, but doesn't get in the way of the music. A strong VG++ copy that will be a keeper copy for most ears.
Cover: Front and rear have light ring wear. Front cover has overall light wear, some edge chipping, and a bit of age discoloration along the edges. Rear cover has overall light wear. Corners knocked and worn, seams and spine have light to moderate wear.
