Comments: Cover is vg+ with staining to the front and back covers and a couple light creases; no splits and the paste-on artwork (front and back) is solidly attached; vinyl is ex and plays great.
Original copy of this great Loren Mazzacane LP released in a small run (300?) on his St. Joan label just prior to him breaking into the "mainstream". This was reissued in the noughts by Dexter's Cigar and remains a highlight of Conner's long and continuing career.
"In dealing so successfully with mood even as he abstracts his music from blues forms, Guitar Roberts' In Pittsburgh reminds me of Ry Cooder's spare film scores (particularly those for Southern Comfort and Paris, Texas). Albert Murray has written eloquently of the blues as a music of defiance and celebration, but Mazzacane, not unlike Robert Johnson or Blind Lemon Jefferson in this respect, know it's also a music that examines the dark hole at the center of the self, the three in the morning nightmare loitering at the edge of noon.
