British 1st release of the original motion picture soundtrack album LP to 'La Bamba' (1987, dir. Luis Valdez), featuring music by Los Lobos and other original artists.
The film, about the life and career of Chicano rock 'n' roll star Ritchie Valens, starred Lou Diamond Phillips as Valens, Esai Morales, Rosanna DeSoto, Elizabeth Peña, Danielle von Zerneck, and Joe Pantoliano.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl – VG-EX. Wonderfully clean on visual inspection. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is very good throughout. Some light static and clicks in places. A great listening experience to this late 80s gem!
Outer Sleeve (Cover) – VG-EX. Colours are bright, unfaded and clean. Some light damage to the corners and edges. Some very minor creasing and vein-like creases in from the edges. Minor disc showthrough outline. Original sticker showcasing the hits is present in the top left of cover. Superb!
Inner Picture sleeve – EX. Original. White paper with black writing and mono thumbnails advertising other Los Lobos albums. A few minor folds/creases but intact.

Review:
After two critically acclaimed but only moderately selling albums, Los Lobos were hired to record songs for the film biography of Hispanic '50s rocker Ritchie Valens, resulting in this soundtrack album, which, in addition to eight Los Lobos recordings, features tracks by Marshall Crenshaw, Brian Setzer, and others. Los Lobos' remake of the title song topped the charts, as did this album, which went on to sell two million copies.

The result has been something of a career dilemma for the band, who went back to being a critically acclaimed, modest seller afterward.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
