Description

This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Lou Donaldson “Swing and Soul” on the West 63rd (no “INC”) labels of Blue Note BLP 1566. The playing surface has some inaudible handling marks and scuffs, but retains its nice luster, with no groove wear; its plays beautifully. The original laminated West 63rd St. cover (with release list that stops at BLP 1561) is clean and bright throughout; what appears to be a brownish stain on the back slick, perhaps from splashed coffee.
