Lou Reed's Berlin 1973 RCA Records US first pressing.
Sadly overlooked BRILLIANT record.
Even if you don't buy this from me….Do yourself a favor get this record,play this record,it will become a favorite.
An amazing line up of musicians play on this album including: Michael and rant Brecker, Jack Bruce,Steve Winwood,Steve Hunter,Dick Wagner,Tony Levin,Aynsley Dunbar to name a few.
In 2006 Lou performed Berlin in its entirety at St. Ann's Warehouse,I was fortunate to witness one of this magical nights and unforgettable nights of music.
Over the years I saw Lou many times,with the Velvet Underground '70 and '71 (w/o John and Nico),that incredible rainy night at the Academy of Music on 14th Street which was recorded and released as Rock 'n' Roll Animal to his infamous runs at the Bottom Line on West 4th Street,one night in particular went till daylight….All that being said about those seeing those shows….Seeing Berlin performed that night in Brooklyn is a night of music that I will never forget and Lou couldn't contain his happiness,seeing the fruits of his much beloved work of art come to fruition live some 33 years after it was released.
The record grades Excellent+,there are some trivial marks,nothing that affects the play of this fantastic record.
The record cover grades an Excellent+, a nice one.
Comes with original 8 page insert which in Excellent condition.
