Lou Reed Set the Twilight Reeling LP
Warner 9362-46159-1 (German pressing)
This is a fantastic LP where Lou Reed both reminisces about his childhood, while at the same time looks to the future with great optomism. Some reviews called this a "soft and mushy" album rather than the normal "ice-cold" Lou Reed that most people expect. I think it's a mixture of the two...which results in both warmth and strength showing through in his songs. Laurie Anderson also features on the backgrounds vocals on the song "Hang on to your emotions".
Vinyl is EX- and plays with a bit of noise in some of the quieter tracks on this LP . I have owned 3 copies of this LP and all have had noise to some extent, which is probably due to the length of the sides. Very playable ...it just can't be described as pin drop quiet. The LP has been cleaned on a professional record cleaning machine and play graded on a Linn LP12 turntable with an Ortofon MC30 cartridge.
The cover is EX- and has no fading, but does have some ringwear and rubbing on the front near the edges. The dark blue of the cover must have been hard to keep pristine as all my copies have had similar wear. The cover looks worse in the photo than it is...and once in a plastic sleeve it looks better again.
The lyric insert are also included (it has a minor seam split on one side ).
This LP is now extremely hard to find, especially in this condition.

I like to be totally honest with my descriptions - this means no unpleasant surprises for you.
Feedback from buyers is that I understate the condition of LP's I sell and a recent comment stated that "records were in MUCH better condition than described".
