Description
Louvin Brothers 1959 LP titled "Satan is Real," Capitol T 1277, rainbow label, the third and final copy of this LP from my collection. I played this entire LP, which has wonderful harmonies and smatterings of rockabilly guitar. The vinyl looks VG, I would rate the sound as VG to VG+. There is some noise, but save for a few well-spaced crackles and pops, it is not intrusive. The sound clarity and resonance are great; I don't know it it's an early pressing, and there is no indication it's a promo. (The numbers in the trail-off wax are "D3" on side 1 and "1T7" on side 2, if that helps anyone.) The jacket has some minor issues. A name written in ink pen in small letters on the cover (you can see it on the brother on the right) and the same name on the back cover (second photo, right edge), plus the number "67" written upper right of back cover. There are some minor creases and light ring wear, and the back cover has some other dark wear. The spine and seams are strong and the images wonderful. This LP also comes with its original Capitol inner sleeve, showing other LPs on the market by the label.
