First UK Stereo pressing of Forever Changes by Love
Catalogue Number: EKS 74013
Matrix numbers: EKS74013 A1/B1
The record is graded vg+. Visually it is very clean and shiny (see photos). It lies flat on the turntable and has no deep, feelable scratches. There are a number of lighter, surface marks that are noticeable in daylight. These are largely cosmetic and make little or no contribution to the sound, but their visability means that the lp could not be described as excellent. The sound, however, is excellent: no major clicks, pops or distortion and only a very light crackle in the run ins and between some tracks.
The labels are excellent. There are some light spindle marks indicating that the lp has been played but there are no other marks, stickers, tears etc.
The cover is graded vg+. It shows very few signs of wear but does have one noticeable laminate crease. The edges and opening are excellent and, but for the crease, the sleeve would merit a grade of excellent.
This is very nice copy of a rare and desirable lp. Though it might not satisfy someone looking for a mint, final upgrade copy it would be more than good enough for anyone else.
I am not a dealer but am finally getting rid of my vinyl collection, almost all of them first pressings including Stones, Beatles, Animals, Dylan, Byrds, Floyd, Zep, loads of krautrock and numerous UK Motown lps (mostly non-compilations). Keep a look out. I'll be listing them over the coming months as time permits.
