IMPORTANT!!

It is our intention to list this poster as a 'Buy It Now' only item with a price of £22 (the poster price is fixed at £22 and, therefore, will not be auctioned). However as a 'new' seller this is not immediately possible as according to eBay we have to have a feedback of at least 5.

Therefore please do not bid above the start price as we have others either listed or due to be listed. Once we have satisfied eBays conditions then we will of course change to Buy It Now.

BACKGROUND TO SALE

In 1996 the original poster, along with a number of other rock, pop and soul concert posters, from which this reproduction is taken, were scheduled for auction at Christie’s Auction House London.

Withdrawn at the last minute by the owner for personal reasons, the posters have remained hidden away until now.

OneWayOut-Memorabilia are delighted to announce that in agreement with a Director (and copyright holder) of the original printing company, we are able to offer a limited edition reprint of this historic poster.

HISTORY

Started in the early 1900s as Electric (Cinema) Printing it changed its name to Electric (Modern) Printing in 1939. Operating from a print works in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, the company specialised, and built a reputation, in producing posters advertising concert, film, theatre and sport events.

Upon the retirement of the owner in 1985 the premises were sold and the printing business closed. The end of an era for this long-time family run business.
