Luis Varona" "Command Performance" aka returns to "world-famous Eden Roc" Recorded at the legendary Criteria Studios of Miami. Shortly after this LP was released on Vee Jay records, they went into bankruptcy so the newly created Exodus Records began issuing records using the V J masters and art work. Both labels were based in Chicago, the courts ruled they were the same company and forced both to close down.
Luis was one of the important pioneering NYC based pianists of the 1940s and '50s. He played with Tito Puente's Picadilly Boys and many other great bands as well as leading his own band in NYC and Miami. One of his singers for this LP is the former Tito Puente singer Bobby Escoto while Nilo Curbelo is the lead trumpet man.
Vinyl:  VG  no spindle wear, some spindle markings on both sides. LP plays VG + however I downgraded it because on "Theme from Black Orpheus", there's a slight needle mark that causes a slight click throughout most of the song.

Top, side and bottom edges show minimal wear, artist-catalog info on side edge is mostly intact.  Top edge has a bit of seam separation.  Front and back covers show minimal rub wear.  See photos.....
