Nuthin’ Fancy is the third studio album by the Southern rock band from Jacksonville, Fla. it was released on the MCA Records label in March 1975. It was their first album to reach the top 10, peaking at #9 on Billboard’s Top Albums chart. It was certified Gold, then later Platinum by the RIAA. It was the band’s first with new drummer Artimus Pyle, who replaced Ed King (formerly of Strawberry Alarm Clock). The album is best known for its single “Saturday Night Special” that peaked at #27 on the Hot 100 Singles chart. Nice first press copy from ‘75 here.
