Description
A breathtaking, factory-sealed original 1976 US first pressing of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s definitive live masterpiece, One More From the Road. Released on MCA Records (Catalog # MCA2-8011), this massive double live album has remained entirely unopened, unplayed, and safely preserved in its original shrink wrap for 50 years.
Recorded over three legendary nights at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, in July 1976, One More From the Road captures the quintessential Southern rock powerhouse at the absolute absolute peak of their live performance dominance. This historic set showcases their legendary "Three Guitar Army" lineup—featuring Ronnie Van Zant's commanding vocals backed by the blistering, synchronized guitar work of Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, and newly added phenom Steve Gaines.
The double tracklist is packed with definitive, explosive live versions of their most legendary anthems, including a roaring "Sweet Home Alabama," "Gimme Three Steps," "Saturday Night Special," "The Needle and the Spoon," and the ultimate, historic 14-minute live performance of "Free Bird" that sets the benchmark for rock history. This original first-pressing analog master offers a deep, wide, and thunderously raw soundstage that modern digital reissues and compressed streaming files simply cannot match.
Crucially, this copy is completely immaculate with NO cutout holes, NO corner saw-cuts, and NO warehouse notches. It is a rare, perfectly preserved store-bought retail survivor. Because mid-70s rock double albums are highly prone to cover warping or shrink splits over time, finding an unblemished, tightly sealed original specimen is an absolute rarity today—making this a premier crown jewel for serious classic rock collectors, Southern rock completionists, and vinyl audiophiles.
