There are several pop/rock songs by other artists on the soundtrack as well, including a re-working of the raucous "Train Kept A-Rollin" with the legendary but short-lived Jeff Beck/Jimmy Page line-up of the Yardbirds, who perform the song notably in the movie.

"BLOW UP!" flashes like an obscure enigma from the annals of a swinging-'60s film. The true quality of these performances, in a hip 007 spy movie action context, is a matter of Herb Hancock's original score--much more rock-friendly than his usual stuff-- and very supple listening. One thing's for sure: the contribution by the Yardbirds (featuring Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page) sound as scorchingly brilliant today as it did 43+ years ago!
