We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

MINTY CLEAN...Original 1966 first pressing on the old DECCA label...

Contains the original printed Decca Records inner sleeve...

"HAPPY JACK" the second album by  The Who, was released in 1966. British record company executives at Decca Records released the album under the title A QUICK ONE, which was too sexually suggestive title for the Americans, and due to "Happy Jack" being a top forty hit in the U.S. "Happy Jack" was included on the US version of the album, and NOT on the British version (replaced with "Heat Wave").

HAPPY JACK is widely regarded by fans to have been a pivotal album for the group, due to the departure from the R&B / pop formula featured on the band's first release. TheBritish ("A Quick One" title actually came from DECCA RECORDS overly zealous attitude forcing the band to rush and pump out an full album. Hence, A Quick One. Many of the songs are great and some of which are classics, others are less known but still stellar.

Boasting such classics as Entwhistle penned 'Boris The Spider' which is among the groups best. Also 'Whiskey Man' another Entwhistle number, and became a classic. The dual title tracks 'A Quick One While He's Away' and 'Happy Jack' are two of the groups most celebrated tunes. The former being a nine minute epic, and Townsends first epic. The latter being a percussion filled legend fueled by Moon.

Other highlights include the MOD drivers 'See My Way' and 'Cobwebs And Strange' are two of the many great tracks on this album.

CONDITION: The cover: VERY hard to find this 44 year old dark cover clean, this one is very nice at VG++ to M- with M- front cover and M- back cover -- there is only a little minor very small rub wear on spine, otherwise top levels  ... the seams are strong, no bends, no writing

The vinyl: is very clean, both sides highly shiny M- plays smoooth clear and highly enjoyable with NO upgrade needed
