Thick cover with purple paste-on original pressing...a sought collectible issued in scant 900 only & numbered (early number #29) here in MINT condition....
"Bead Game" were a Boston based group consisting of K.Westland Haag (rhythm guitar), John Sheldon (lead guitar), Jim Hodder (drums and percussion), R. Gaas (keyboard), and Lassie Sachs (bass). "Baptism" was recorded in 1970 but not released until 26 years later as a very limited pressing -- this copy an early numbered first pressing #29 of only 900 copies made. Baptism was the follow up to their highly heralded album "Welcome" which is a sought after classic psych album. This one is psych a cool collection of complex tinged psychedelic rock with jazzy rock edges benefiting greatly from John Sheldon's fluid guitar solos interwoven around keyboardist, Bobby Gass' swirling organ fills and boasting the vocal and drumming talents of Jim Hodder (later to join Steely Dan) -- the album is consistently melodic, featuring outstanding musical interplay and glorious guitar solos.
