SCARCE, little seen old vintage and MINT 2-LP set in nice gatefold sleeve from the mid 70's ... this 35 year old limited pressing delivers a rewarding look into the time of the ZOMBIES ... featuring collectibly scarce (non LP) A & B side mid sixties 45's as well as 1965 British Invasion classics, 29 tracks in all over 4 sides from an album that is much harder to find (and mint!) than you might realize! Mid 70's German only lavish production! Like The Kinks, The Zombies were a band that were every bit as great as the Beatles or the Rolling Stones, but somehow faded into relative obscurity. Critics often hail the album The Odessey and Oracle as their crowning moment, but one might argue that their mid sixties era (showcased here) attained a level of pure poprock craftsmanship they never really achieved again.
