WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS: If you have a question on orders received, please contact us. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. When leaving Feedback, please consider the following: eBay's policy on the 5-star rating system is anything less than a 5 reduces our standing with eBay and ultimately can affect our selling abilities. SO please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.
As always, thank you for your support!

ROBERT WYATT
ROCK BOTTOM
USA - VIRGIN RECORDS (twin girls label) - VR 13 112 (PROMOTIONAL COPY)
TOP COPY!
ORIGINAL 1974 advance release PROMOTIONAL first pressing on the twin-girls Virgin Records label...Key original member of THE SOFT MACHINE, Robert Wyatt had a long respected solo career, none better than this, his second album....
- Robert Wyatt / vocals, keyboards, percussion, guitar
- Richard Sinclair / bass
- Hugh Hopper / bass
- Laurie Allan / drums
1974's Rock Bottom wasn't Wyatt's first solo album-- that was 1970's long-out-of-print The End of an Ear-- but it was the first record of the second act of his career: In 1973, the wildly energetic former drummer of Soft Machine (and leader of Matching Mole) broke his spine in an accident. He spent eight months in the hospital, reinventing himself as a singer/keyboardist and reworking some pieces he'd already composed for what would have been his new band.
The six songs of Rock Bottom were a new kind of music for Wyatt: very slow, exquisitely deliberate. (It's easy to hear echoes of the album in latter-day Radiohead, among others.) The magnificent "Sea Song" is the most immediately gripping piece here, but everything has peculiar little joys that take their time emerging. "Alifib" is an aphasic love song to his partner Alfreda Benge (they were married the day the album was released); "Alife" brings her in to offer an affectionate rebuke. And Wyatt effectively ducks out of his own album a few minutes before it ends: "Little Red Robin Hood Hit the Road" concludes with a peculiar three-minute recitative by Ivor Cutler.
"Rock Bottom" is a timeless Canterbury classic and a masterpiece of this genre. A terrific journey through Wyatt's psyche. It is mainly settled, calm and very melancolic. Wyatt's voice is for sure the main part of this release but you also get beautiful instrumentation wich is very Canterbury typical and considered by many a Canterbury Masterpiece.
