Sealed original copy of Maceo and all the kings men " Doin their own thing" released on Lelan Rogers ' House of Fox label in the early 70's Cover Mint/ Vinyl Mint factory sealed Recorded and released after a mutiny by most of James Browns band members. Doin their own thing contains 12 slabs of superb early-70's Funk. Mostly instrumental, radio play for the album and subsequent singles appears to have been blocked by Brown himself. Over the years, many of them, including band leader Maceo Parker would return to playing back with Brown. They released two albums on House of Fox before splitting circa 1972. This is a rare 1970's classic ft. the highly regarded saxophonist and the majority of James Brown's band who had to quit to "DO THEIR OWN THING" - hence the title.
