Description
This is the second Madness album 'Absolutely' on Stiff Records and it's SEEZ 29, released in 1980. The cover image is the withdrawn one, which was later amended on the next version release. Therefore I'm sure this is a 1st pressing.
The album is hand signed on the rear cover by Suggs, Mike Barson, Mark Bedford and Chris Forman from the band. All are really nice signatures as they all took their time. (Please see images).
It was signed after their gig at Derby Kings Hall in December 1980, when my late brother interviewed the band for his programme on Radio Trent. (Hence as it was coming up to Xmas, Bedders has written 'Merry Xmas'). I was with my brother at the time and therefore can vouch for this item (it's my record) and we had other things signed at the time, such as the first album 'One Step Beyond' which I still have - signed by the whole band at the time.
The cover is in good (poss very good) condition and the signatures are all very clear & unsmudged. The inner sleeve is in very good condition. The vinyl I would cautiously rate as 'good' and poss 'very good' as this was my copy and I know I played it a few times in the 1980s! There are no visible marks or scratches.
So it would make a great Xms present - especially for someone called 'Nick'!
