Rare mispressed 12'' vinyl picture disc that plays Madonna's Cherish picture disc tracklist with the artwork of State Of Mind by Fish.
This record is a mispress with a 12" picture disc of Fish - State Of Mind. The record looks like the Fish disc, but in fact, plays Madonna's "Cherish" on both sides, plus the -then unreleased- "Supernatural. Presumably, this was done at the Orlake pressing plant in England, when both the Fish picture disc and the regular Madonna's 'Cherish' picture disc were both being pressed (Orlake specialized in manufacturing picture discs for major record companies at that time). This would explain how a record of an artist from one major record company could be mispressed with the record of an artist from a different major record label.
There are no known copies of the Madonna "Cherish" picture disc playing the Fish tracks, but some copies with the "State of mind" pictures on it have surfaced which play the extended version of "Cherish" on the 'A' side and the Edit version on Side B, along with Supernatural.
The mispressed copies were destroyed, but few were already out before the mistake was discovered, ending up in the hands of collectors of both Madonna and Fish.
The record is in great condition and comes complete with the backing card.
