Very Rare UK Promo 12" Single

Historically, Madonna’s first ever solo artist UK promotional disc. This disc was produced in 1985 to promote the songs ‘Into The Groove’ & ‘Holiday’. It was sent out to D.Js around June 1985 which eventually resulted in ‘Into The Groove’ hitting the number one spot in the UK for 4 weeks. Unusually, around the same time, ‘Holiday’ occupied the Number 2 spot – Making Madonna one of a handful of artists to simultaneously occupy the No. 1 & No. 2 positions in the UK top 40.
This disc comes in a white die-cut sleeve with a simple glossy sticker. The sticker gives an incorrect running time for ‘Holiday’ as 3:50. It actually plays the LP version of Holiday with a running time of 6:08. No information is given on the disc labels other than large 1 & 2 numbers plus copyright notice around the edge. SAM 251 is pressed in the run-out groove.
The vinyl record is graded as being in Excellent condition. The sleeve has some shelf wear but has no writing, tears, staines or rips and I'm grading it as being in VG+ condition!
Issued on the Sire Record Label here in the UK during the spring of 1985. The Catalogue Number is SAM 251.
