Veronica Electronica, Madonna's long-rumoured Ray Of Light-era remix album, finally flashes forth after more than two decades of fan speculation. First shelved in 1998, the collection now arrives and tots in at just over 42 minutes. Built from sessions with Sasha, William Orbit, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer and BT, the album reflects a clubbier, more introspective shadow cast by the original Ray Of Light LP; highlights include a newly surfaced Orbit-era demo, 'Gone Gone Gone', and a heady rebuild of 'Skin' from Peter & Victor. Thematically, the mix evolves like a DJ set: early tracks pulse with hypnotic energy before tapering into mesmeric, after-hours serenity.
