Description

NEWSAGENT'S DESCRIPTION

This listing is for a U.S. pressing of The Inner Mounting Flame, the groundbreaking debut studio album by jazz-rock fusion pioneers Mahavishnu Orchestra, released by Columbia Records (PC 31067). Led by virtuoso guitarist John McLaughlin, the album brought together jazz improvisation, explosive rock energy, and Indian-influenced musical ideas, becoming one of the defining recordings of the early jazz fusion movement.

This  issue features the original Mahavishnu Orchestra lineup of John McLaughlin on guitar, Billy Cobham on drums, Jan Hammer on keyboards, Jerry Goodman on violin, and Rick Laird on bass. All eight compositions were written by McLaughlin, including "Meeting of the Spirits," "The Noonward Race," "The Dance of Maya," and "You Know, You Know."

Vinyl shows light signs of use, possibly a few minor scuffs or hairlines that do not affect play. Sleeve may show slight wear, including light edge wear, a small crease, or minimal ring wear.

Very Good (VG)

Vinyl has visible surface wear and light scratches, with occasional surface noise but no skips. Sleeve shows moderate wear such as ring wear, seam splits, writing, or creasing.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+), or Very Good Minus (VG-)
