Description

Released in 1975, Visions of the Emerald Beyond is the second album by the second lineup of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, led by legendary guitarist John McLaughlin. A fusion of jazz, rock, funk, and orchestral elements,  the album showcases the band’s virtuosic musicianship and complex compositions.
Standout tracks like "Eternity's Breath", "Lila's Dance" and "Be Happy" highlight McLaughlin's blazing guitar work,  Jean-Luc Ponty's mesmerising violin, and Narada Michael Walden's dynamic drumming.
The album expands on the orchestral approach introduced in Apocalypse (1974), incorporating lush string and horn arrangements for a cinematic feel. 
Visions of the Emerald beyond remains a landmark in Jazz fusion, offering a mix of high energy improvisation and intricate compositions.
