Description

HERE IS LOUIS ARMSTRONG at the height of his "Viper" period, in 1933, when he was smoking that good "Gauge" and tearing up stages on two continents.  "MAHOGANY HALL STOMP" catches him at his most extroverted, a one-man fireworks show.  This was when he was test-piloting trumpet technique, to go faster, higher, and be more inventive than before!  "HE'S A SON OF THE SOUTH" carries on just the same, with a great Armstrong vocal, besides.  


This original 1933 "Buff" Bluebird B-5086 is in clean E- condition.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care.
