Description
Very rare and beautiful vintage LP featuring jazz pianist MAL WALDRON on the BETHLEHEM label from 1959.
Title of the LP is “LEFT ALONE: a dedication to Billie Holiday by her former pianist Mal Waldron.”
Mal Waldron Trio consists of Mal Waldron – piano; Julian Euell – bass; and Al Dreares – drums. Guest artist JACKIE McLEAN appears on the title track “Left Alone.”
Catalog number is BCP 6045. Monaural pressing.
Label is burgundy with silver print. Matrix number is hand-etched in trailoff area.

This album came from the estate of a gentleman who collected jazz albums for many years, many of which were autographed at performances he attended when the artist(s) appeared at clubs in the Washington, D.C., area. (This album is not signed). The owner prized his collection, played them sparingly, and stored them under the best conditions.

Jacket: Jacket is in very fine overall shape with a few minor flaws. Front art work is clean and bright. The top seam has a few minor wear spots and a 1-inch split at top right corner. The spine has a few very small slight chip spots, otherwise fine. The bottom seam shows some wear, especially near the bottom right corner where there is a 2-inch split. Reverse is very clean and nice with no writing, stains, or other problems. Overall a very fine jacket you will be proud to display.
Vinyl: Outstanding NM disc with full brilliant gloss. It appears to have been played only once based on a tracking line around the spindle hole. The groove surfaces are flawless without so much as a blemish. I am certain the winning bidder will be extremely pleased.
