Description
Released in 1993,this compilation gives an insight into the manics in the very early days . It is called “Lipstick Traces “( not to be confused with the 2003 release which has different songs& is a different release completely .) It is an un -official release .it features live tracks from 1989, and pre generation terrorists demos. Some tracks made it onto the album , others didn’t .These are included here, and can be heard in their full rawness, and show a band on the edge of success . They are not available to buy and the manics never released them again.This release is rare, and is considered a bootleg.Some audio does exist on YouTube but not all these tracks.The live recordings are taken from The Horse & Groom gig from 1989.This gig went down in manics history . The label is media slut productions.
The record is from my own collection.The vinyl has been listened to a couple of times.There are a couple of hairline marks but they do not affect the playing.condition is very good and it has been in a dust cover. It had minimal creasing to the corner of the cover, but the inside is very good . The recordings do not represent fantastic sound quality ,as this is more of a bootleg,so don’t expect too much of a polished sound,however I would say this is a great opportunity to hear the manics in the early days along side their friend and writer Richey James Edwards,and hear the start of something amazing !
