Description
For sale is a vinyl promo copy of the self-titled release from Manolo (A&M, SP-4783)
Manolo is a Puerto Ricon born percussionist known for his work with The Weather Report in the mid-70s. He's worked with The Rolling Stones, Bill Evans, Joni Mitchell, and Talking Heads.
Manolo's album can be easily summarized by a quote from Herb Albert, who produced the album, on the rear jacket:
Manolo took me on a trip way beyond anything I had ever been exposed to before. I used to be rather quick to judge music based on Melody, form and content. Manolo inadvertantly showed me another equally important ingredient called ENERGY and there's no shortage here.
As this is a very rare and sought after album the condition is important. This copy is a perfect addition to any collector's library.
Vinyl is EX and has hardly any wear. A faint hiss can be heard during quiet parts of the album and a single scratch - perhaps a manufacturers defect - causes a faint pop for about 10 seconds on the last song on the B-side.
Jacket is EX- with some edge and corner wear and light creasing - barely noticeable in the picture as well as in person since the images are colorful and busy.
