ORIGINAL 1960s GARAGE FOLK PUNK 45!! (INTRODUCING) THE MARAUDERS: Since I Met You b/w I Don't Know How p/s 45 (US, Skyview, 1/1966). Here's a very rare, original copy of a January 1966 local label (Skyview) teen garage 45 from Sacramento. This group later became the WAPHPHLE, who recorded one great and obscure 45 for Elektra in '68. This release is much rarer than the Elektra 45. A few unplayed copies of this record were found a few years ago, and this is the last copy from that batch. This is my only copy. Sleeve has slight yellowing from storage but only a minor crinkle here and there, no tears, no writing, as issued original with no significant signs of handling or use. The vinyl was unplayed but has been play graded due to a "fog" on a portion of the pressing that is not audible (and that all copies I've seen have), as well as a few tiny paper granule marks from the 35 year storage inside the original picture sleeve. I'll give the vinyl a strict VG++ grade, and can assure you it would be graded M- on any other dealers' list. I will ship this in a separate paper sleeve inside a poly bag to avoid any damage during shipping. The record plays just as all the unplayed copies that I've heard do, with slight noise and the occasional pop (not a great mastering job). Music is downbeat garage, moody folk-punk. The raw, under-produced sound that all true garage collectors crave. Don't miss it, buy-it-now if no one has bid!
