Description

Available here is a 7" demo single by Marcie Blane - Bobby’s Girl / A Time To Dream. It was issued in the UK by London (presumably 1962 although undated) and bearing the catalogue number 45-HLU 9599, with "Demonstration Sample Not For Sale" printed on both sides of the label.

Vinyl Condition - Excellent - Generally bright and clean with a few minor surface marks to the second side but free from any worrying scratches. Having listened to the record, I can confirm that the sound is very clear - no jumping, sticking or clicking, with minimal background crackle present.

Sleeve Condition - Very Good - Original London sleeve or so I believe. Lightly creased in places with partial disc impression. Large pictures of both sides of the disc and sleeve are available on request.

History - A No. 3 hit on the US Billboard charts in the autumn of 1962, Marcie Blane's debut was also successful all around the world, with one exception. In the UK, it was a cover version of the song by Susan Maughan which stole her thunder, while reaching similar lofty chart heights the same year. As a result, Blane’s UK London single is quite rare and this demo even more so.
