Description
Being offered is a rare, hard to find 5 LP box set collection of records featuring Maria Callas singing some of the most famous operas involving women subjects. Called "5 Heroines", the selections include numbers from some of her most famous performances of "Norma", "Lucia di Lammermoor", "La Traviata", "Madama Butterfly" and "Tosca". This 5 LP set is a French import produced by Pathe Marconi/EMI in original mono. The set includes the libretto (in French) and a pamphlet of her available works from the publisher. All five records are in NM condition, with no visible blemish marks, but please be advised that this rating is based strictly on a visual basis as I have not played these recordings. The box cover is in EX condition with a little cover paper wrinkling and one split corner being the extent of wear. A very hard to find collection by the premiere opera singer of our time. Thanks for looking!
