Description

  MARIONETTI formed around 1982 in the area of Tampere, Finland. They shared members with bands like KUOLLEET KUKAT and FUCKING FINLAND.



In December 1982, the band recorded its 1st demo tape at the Studio JJ in Tampere. The demo was recorded live in only 4 hours, because the band didn't have enough money to afford more studio time.



12 songs were recorded, and 2 of these ("Turha armeija" and "Palvele valtioo") were used for the great compilation LP "Propaganda hardcore" released on 1983 on the finnish label Propaganda records.



In the autumn 1983, the MARIONETTI made its 2nd demo tape, recorded live with 8 songs.



Then MARIONETTI disbanded, and they formed with a new drummer (Juha from the band TAMPERE SS) a new band called TUOMITTUJEN JUHLA.



Apart these 2 demo tapes that has stayed quiet rare, MARIONETTI did not make any more recording.



They played fast and angry hardcore punk in the perfect early 80's finnish style, like did other great bands like RATTUS, BASTARDS, RIISTETYT, KAAOS, POHJASAKKA, MELLAKKA, KANSAN UUTISET, TAMPERE SS, VARAUS, DESTRUCKTIONS, NUKKETEATTERI, HIC SYSTEEMI and more...



29 years later, WHO CARES? records has officially released the complete recordings of MARIONETTI : their 2 demo tapes put on 12' vinyl.



The release is as usual limited to 300 hand numbered copies on a 12” vinyl. This is #161/300

new and unplayed
