Description

MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS - "Wild One"  THE TEMPTATIONS - "It's Growing"

EMIDISC Acetate - UK - 1964 / 65

Extremely rare double-sided UK EMIDISC acetate of two classic Motown tunes. The Emidisc labels are clearly legible, if a little faded, and the acetate is in a plain white sleeve.
Condition is not mint! But to be honest I have heard far worse from 1960's acetates and it's probably G+ at best I'd say. It plays through ok with no jumps or skips. There is some surface noise, more noticeable on The Temptations side which is a quieter / slower cut anyway. This is par for the course but being an Emidisc acetate it may be possible to clean this one up and grade it higher. See photos for details.
Although the condition is not super clean, there's no doubting its rarity. I collected Motown acetates for years and never saw another two-sider like this. Finding any mid 1960's Motown / Stateside acetate in any condition is rare indeed and I'm offering it strictly as a collectors item. Serious Tamla Motown / UK Stateside / soul collectors will know how scarce this one is...
The acetate will be packed safely and securely for posting. I am selling many more vintage vinyl LPs, 45s, also promos, demos and acetates, do check my other listings.
