A super, ONE OF A KIND, collectible. This is a super rare - only known surviving copy - pressing of the UNISSUED King SLP1053, a collection of vocal tracks by Ms. Whitney and James Brown instrumentals..
This album was scheduled for release in the Summer of 1969. When Marva's hit single, "It's My Thing", raced up the charts, this record was cancelled in favor of a different collection of tracks that became her IT'S MY THING album.
Several thousand copies of this record were pressed but then ordered scrapped. We are unaware of any other surviving copy. No album covers were known to have been assembled however the front cover was test printed and that paper artwork is INCLUDED!
Condition of the art work is a bit rough around the edges and is creased from several folds. The record is in a plain white jacket. . The tracks on this record were issued on singles and in other albums but no James Brown collection can be considered complete without this item!
