Description
First MARVELETTES LP from 1961 on Motown's TAMLA label TM 228. This is an original pressing with white labels but I believe this was the standard issue for the 1st pressing, not a promo.
COVER is VG to VG+. very small drill hole; crease (about 3 1/2") on front cover from mailbox to right edge. Price sticker and red star sticker in upper right corner of front cover; edges and title spine mostly in VG+++ condition (all the writing on the spine is intact and clearly visible without wear); lowest part of front cover shows some very small "dings" and a slight bit of ring wear. Back cover is near mint minus, the drill hole being the only flaw. The appearance of "stripes" in the image of the back cover is due to my camera and does not actually appear on the cover. Back cover is mostly bright white.
RECORD (visual grading only) is VG++ to NM-. Record is of the "thick platter" variety. Vinyl is glossy and shows minimal wear. Labels are black and white with blue/purple and are NM- to NM. Side One label has a very slight bit of ink(?) marking near the edge which may have been part of the original pressing.
