A minimum of 2 strong card stiffeners are inserted . Records are removed from the outer sleeve (and inner sleeve if this is not of a generic variety) to prevent sleeve edge splits. Mailers are marked “FRAGILE”, and “PLEASE DO NOT BEND” front and back.
Grading:
Please note I try to play all records. Where I think it is warranted I will give specific details of sound quality in the item description.
In the description grading is given as cover/vinyl.
Mint minus (M-) cover – like new, with no defects vinyl – like new, likely played only a few times, no surface marks, no sound defects
Excellent (EX) cover – shows signs of minor wear & creasing vinyl – slight superficial marks that do not affect play
Very Good (VG) cover – normal wear & tear on the cover, light ring wear for example vinyl – shows marks & light scratches that do not have a major effect on the sound quality
Good (G) cover – has scuffing of edges, ring wear, large split spine etc vinyl – scratches and scuffs, will play thru but there will be surface noise and/or pops and clicks.
A + or - indicates minor variations in grading.
