Description
Mason Creek: "Songs For A Rainy Afternoon" 1970?, USA/No label #H-147. Super-thick disc has some largely inaudible scrapes and a few little needlemarks that click, a large bubble on one side makes a few "thumps" as the needle passes over it (this is a very crude pressing), this disc gets a Good grade. Comes in a plain cover with front and rear paste-on slicks, this has tape on the top seam, splitting all around, a dedication on the back side begins "Bro. Christ, I Love You" (dude obviously had friends in high places!), this cover is Fair. Some good stuff on this unknown private press folk LP. No credits; band seems to be made up of two guys that play guitar and hand drums and they both sing in a wasted style. Kinda fits in the same bag as the Carr/Kahl "Communication 1" album but this is certainly more primitive. I've never heard about another copy of this one popping up. Anybody?

I pack/ship once a week, usually on Friday. I use sturdy cardboard boxes designed for shipping records, and I remove the disc from the cover to prevent seam splits during shipment.
