Master's Apprentices: "A Toast To Panama Red" 1971, UK/Regal Zonophone SLRZ 1022. Disc is in lovely M- shape, it looks like it was only played one time! Cover has one crease in the upper left corner, M- otherwise, it gets an EX grade and will likely be impossible to upgrade. This is an early edition cover with the flipbacks. This example also has the rare lyric sheet printed in maroon ink on textured antique white paper, this is incredibly rare and seems to have only been included with the first few hundred copies. Well, this is an essential album around this place; I think they were the best band ever out of Australia and there's not a weak moment on this LP. "The Answer Lies Beyond" opens the LP in exactly the same way that "Egyptian Tomb" opens Mighty Baby's debut, having a loose-but-tight jamming feel with incredibly fluid lead guitar all the way through. This LP then reaches cosmic heights on "Beneath The Sun" and "Games We Play" that no other band from Downunda ever touched. There are some top-notch hard rockers on side two that this band is renowned for, no need to elaborate further. Incredible sound throughout, it was recorded in London at Abbey Road Studio. You need to own this, just grab it while you can and be mesmerized by it, you can always reluctantly sell it for a profit when you need some cash. It's never a bad investment to buy records as absolutely killer as this one, especially in such "time-capsule" condition.
