Description

MAURICIO KAGEL : Staatstheater 2LP Box (Deutsche Grammophon [Germany] 2707060) 1971.

Records are Near Mint (our highest grade for an opened record). Box is VG+ with moderate wear to corners, the remnants of a removed sticker at the top-left of the front, a "Deutscher Schallplatten Preis" sticker at the lower-left of the front, and a card-pocket inside. All four labels have library stickers and stamps. With 34-page booklet, which has a sticker on front and moderate overall wear/discoloration to the front and back. The inside pages all look fine. Overall, the cover and booklet aren't too bad for an ex-library copy, and the records are spotless (the circulation card indicates that it was never checked out).

Original copy of Mauricio Kagel's insane avant garde music-theater composition from 1971. As far as we know, this (the world première) is the only full performance of this piece that's ever been released, and to our knowledge it's never been reissued at all, on any format.

To get an idea of what you're in for, search youtube for a remarkable hour-long film of a performance of Repertoire by The Kölner Ensemble für Neue Musik, including Kagel himself (not sure when it's from, but it's not the performance on this LP).
