VERY RARE MAYA DEREN DIVINE HORSEMEN THE VOODOO GODS OF HAITI VINYL LP
This is the soundtrack which accompanies the film and book of the same name which renowned and influential avant garde film maker Maya Deren made.
She was the first to take the only just commercially available wire recorders to Haiti and recorded the religious voodoo ceremonies there.
Includes sleeve notes and also a statement from Maya Deren made in 1953 about the recordings.
Released on Lyrichord. Cat. no. LLST 7341.
Condition: sleeve has a small amount of wear, generally very good+ (vg+). Vinyl has some slight surface marks and is generally very good+ (vg+).
This is from my own collection and has been looked after with great care since bought. It has been stored in a see-through protective sleeve which I will include. I will ship in a strengthened sleeve.
