Description

Hi..I have decided to sell some more of my record collection which I have accumulated over many years. I am not a trader or record shop and I am just recommencing selling on eBay. I am music fan who has collected vinyl records over many years and much to my 'other-half's' delight and, to my own disdain, over the coming days/weeks I will be offering rare, and much sought after vinyl records including Prog Rock, Blues, Folk, etc from collectible labels such as Pink Island, Blue Horizon, Deram/Decca, Atlantic plum, Vertigo swirl, etc etc..

HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER AND EXTREMELY RARE ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. THIS IS THE SECOND OF MY JOHN MAYALL BLUESBREAKERS OFFERINGS. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE MAYALL AND PETER GREEN, SUBSEQUENTLY OF FLEETWOOD MAC, WITH THE BLUESBREAKERS FROM 1967. I SUPPOSE THIS IS THE LP THAT SET PETER GREEN ON HIS JOURNEY TO GREATNESS DURING THE UK BLUES BOOM OF THE 60'S AND ONTO INFINITE FAME AND STARDOM. MAYALL, FLEETFOOD MAC AND PARTICULARLY PETER GREEN COLLECTORS WILL BE SORRY TO MISS OUT ON THIS LP. THEY KNOW OF COURSE THIS IS A 'MUST HAVE' LP AND AN INDISPENSABLE ADDITION TO THEIR BLUESBREAKERS AND DECCA MONO CATALOUGE.

I am describing this LP as Excellent+ - Once you play this LP all the way through you will understand - it's that good. This LP is the rarer MONO pressing, as the stereo pressings had eneterd the UK market on its release and were more plentiful.

Artist: John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers

Title: A Hard Road

Catalouge number: LK 4853  (UK, Unboxed Decca Red Mono Label)

Released: 1967

Country of origin: UK

The LP is in truly Excellent+ condition and is genuinely a reluctant sale.

Excellent+

Before I offer for sale I play grade to check my vinyl's and I have just played both sides on an upmarket deck.

There is truly only one way to describe the vinyl on both sides - This is a great example of one of the greatest forerunning UK Blues scene albums of all time - Superb!

The vinyl retains a brilliant sheen. No scratches, hardly a hairline, very minimal odd 'pop' or 'click', and no surface noise between tracks!. Remember this LP is 44yrs old!. The mono sound quality is exceptional! Peter Green's 'Super-natural sounds sensational. You would be thinking I'm doing myself an injustice with my description, but I treat others the way I wish to be treated myself therefore I am describing it to the best of my ability.

*Also, I have not attempted to clean the vinyl in case of damage to the LP and because in my opinion it is in such great condition that it doesn't require any object or cleaning agent applied, in fact the only implement this single requires is a stylus*

Labels:

Excellent ...Both labels are clean and bright! (see images)... There are spindle marks when the LP is slanted towards the light but this does not impair the appearance of the labels. No ink, and no unsightly blemishes whatsoever.

Sleeve:

Excellent+ ... Fully laminate single sleeve is still in great condition. No 'lifting' of lamninate and just the odd small crease, but hardly an issue. No feathering on opening whatsoever. No ink, no blemishes whatsoever - an outstanding example! Comes complete with the original Red mono poly-lined inner (see images...Yes, I have taken great care of my LP's over the years.

The winning bidder will not be disappointed!

Please take into consideration that I am not a photographer or a professional salesman. What you can be certain of are the descriptions of all the vinyl I shall be offering for sale, and that they are all critically evaluated.
I will do my best with any further images you require and, if you have any questions about the LP, please email me.

Contact is to be made within 3 days of winning bid and payment to be made via Paypal within one week of winning bid.

International worldwide postage = £ 5.00
(If the winning bidder requires further postage security on this LP please email for price. see details below)

Thanks for looking and Good Luck!

I am a private seller gradually disposing of my vinyl collection. Please note that whilst it is rare for items to be lost or damaged in the post, I am unable to accept responsibility for any loss or damage by the postal services. Whilst I am happy to provide assistance, advice, and proof of postage, all such claims remain the responsibility of the buyer.

All items sold for more than £39 will be subject to an extra charge for 'signed for' posting (This is not usually very expensive) if the purchaser requires package to be covered for compensation to cover the unlikely loss/damage in the post an extra charge will be necessary. If compensation cover is required buyers should contact me so that the full cost can be invoiced for insurance purposes.
