Description

  For sale is the MC5's Kick Out The Jams, the first pressing from 1969 on Elektra Records. This is a gate-fold presentation with the controversial liner noted by John Sinclair, Minister of Information for the White Panthers. Later copies only had pictures of the band members without his hateful diatribe. I bought this new and replaced the original inner sleeve with  an after market poly-lined protective inner sleeves. I do not have the original inner sleeves! Also, after the live version of Ramblin" Rose comes the shout to "Kick out the jams, Motherfuckers!", which on later copies was changed to "Kick out the jams, Brothers and Sisters!". This is a very rare record and will be a great addition to anyone's collection of rock and roll classics.   I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
