Description
The Beatles "MEET THE BEATLES" original-issue, issued in 1963 without album producer credit. Second issue done in Feb 1964 added note on lower left corner "produced by George Martin" This cover DOES NOT have producer credits. This album also has the Sears baggy wrap,which is also very rare. Record has the second label veneration that lists ASCAP as the performance rights for rights for all songs except "I want to hold your hand" which lists BMI. Also has original advertising inner sleeve. Does have some fringing on cover in upper left corner. Please see pictures. Cover and Vinyl are VG+ Vinyl does have some light scratches, but the value of this record is not the record, it is in the label, not having producer credits, and the Sears baggy.
Please see Bruce Spizer's world famous book "The Beatles' Story On Capitol Record's" Part two, pages 12- 17. The above information was gathered from his book. Bruce is world know as a expert in Beatle Record knowledge. He has written many books on the subject, many of which are sold out and now sell for hundreds of dollars on the secondary market. I would suggest if you are a Beatle fan or collector, Bruce's books are a must have.
