Description

The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.   All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Mode MONO DG LP 103 - released 1957
LPs from this era were not customarily sealed in cellophane or plastic as later became the norm.  Consequently, while unsealed, this deep groove LP remains in excellent condition.  May have been played once or twice previously.  The vinyl shows some inherent discoloration in spots, but not from mishandling.  I play tested once on high end equipment and the sound is excellent.  The laminated cover has light ring wear. The lower rear cover has a sticker detailing the type of record it is, "Rim Drive", that must have been placed at manufacturing.  There is slight curve to the cover (see photo), but vinyl unaffected.
