MELVINS Houdini – original vinyl LP release on US Amphetamine Reptile records from 1993 (AMREP 532-1).
You are bidding for an original US pressing of the sixth studio album by the Melvins. The band who formed in 1983 released Houdini in 1993 on Amphetamine Reptile records in an edition of 5000 copies – this is an original black vinyl copy which includes the cover of the MC5 track Rocket Reducer #62 replaced on the later Atlantic vinyl pressing. This LP contains 13 excellent grunge / metal tracks and includes production credits on 2 tracks attributed to Kurt Cobain.

This LP was bought new and after being played a handful of times has been carefully stored as part of my personal collection for the last 19 years. Visually the vinyl has numerous very light paper type scuffs which I would attribute to the unusual black polythene inner bag the LP was shipped in. Audibly there is some light background noise on the run in/out and between tracks and the occasional click or pop, but it plays great so I will grade it as Ex- overall.
The labels have a couple of marks on the A side as seen in the attached photos, but these have probably been there from new, so I would grade them as Ex.
The original gatefold sleeve is in really beautiful condition with no defects to mention, so is graded as M-.
Overall then a really nice copy of this great original Melvins collectable which I would graded as Ex-/M- (vinyl / sleeve)
