Description
You are bidding for a CLASSIC US 40'S BLUES 78 RPM single by MEMPHIS MINNIE called YOU GOT TO GET OUT OF HERE backed with WESTERN UNI BLUES issued on the COLUMBIA record label in the US in 1946, cat number 30134 ( RED AND GOLD LABEL)The record is in VG condition with VG labels .The record has obvious wear with surface scuffs and surface scratches but plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise.. CLASSIC US BLUES from MEMPHIS MINNIE with two ROCKING BLUES tracks . MEMPHIS MINIIE was a contempary of BIG BILL BROONZY and often played with him in Chicago and on the circuit. Described as "the most popular female country blues singer of all time", while Big Bill Broonzy said that she could "pick a guitar and sing as good as any man I've ever heard."Minnie lived to see her reputation revived in the 1960s as part of the general revival of interest in the blues. She was an influence on later singers such as BIG MAMA THORNTON, JO ANN KELLY and BONNIE RAIT who paid for her gravestone. Her song WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS was covered by LED ZEPPELIN in 1971 on their 4th album. RARE in decent condition, from my own collection.

10" 78 RPM RECORDS NEED CAREFULLY PACKING, PACKED BETWEEN 1" THICK POLYSTYRENE SLABS, WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS WHICH IS THEN BOXED, THIS IS A FRAGILE 78 AND REQUIRES STRONG PACKAGING TO ENSURE SAFE DELIVERY.
USUALLY FOR MAILING OVERSEAS, I RECOMMEND NO MORE THAN 5 IN A BOX, OTHERWISE IT GOES OVER THE AIRMAIL SMALL PACKET MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF 2Kgs WHICH CAUSES A LARGE HIKE IN POSTAL RATES.
IF A RECORD ARRIVES CRACKED OR BROKEN DESPITE MY BEST EFFORTS I WILL REFUND THE MONEY IN FULL. - JUST SEND ME A QUICK SCAN - IF IT IS A VERY RARE RECORD I WILL ASK YOU TO SEND IT BACK OTHERWISE IT WILL BE YOURS TO KEEP OR DISPOSE OF.
BUYERS COMBINING SEVERAL ITEMS WILL GET A REBATE. (Please wait for my invoice before paying so that I can give you the right discount because the eBay system has no facility for doing this automatically)
